This page has investigated the model number of the Super Famicom(SFC) hardware which Nintendo released. and, the model number is SHVC-??? by consecutive numbers.
SHVC is "Super Home Video Computer". It was Famicom (HVC) and a compatible plan at first. but, The plan was not realized, because a cost was too high. However, a function to be compatible with Famicom seems to be validated inside.
The left image is "SF-mark" in the LOGO of "Super Famicom".
"Super Famicom" was named "SUPER NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (SNES)" in other country. Please refer to the following for them. but, This page must be careful to being a page about Super Famicom. This page wrote based on the information in Japanese shop and on network.

SHVC-001 Super Famicom SuperFamicom inherited power of Famicom(FamilyComputer) and overwhelmed other game consoles. The body was very more durable than Famicom, and it was improved. For example, there is a power lamp. A cassette connector is closed automatically. As a result, it was shipped 17.15 million systems in Japan.
It sold since November 21, 1990 for ¥25000.
Price reduced August 14, 1996 to ¥9800.
SHVC-002 & SHVC-003 & SHVC-004 Unidentified
SHVC-005 Controller It's controller for SuperFamicom. There is + Control Pad (directional pad). There is A * B * X * Y Buttons. A-Button is RED, B-Button is YELLOW, X-Button is BLUE, Y-Button is GREEN. and, There is L * R Buttons in the shoulder. The L * R button is beginning at this controller.
This controller is splendid. Thereafter a controller of game consoles modeled itself upon this.
It sold since November 21, 1990 for ¥1500.
SHVC-006 Game Pak (Cassette) The software supply media of SuperFamicom. Capacity is 4Mbit~48Mbit (0.5MB~6MB).
SHVC-007 Monaural A/V Cable Monaural A/V Cable is the cable which was suitable for monaural television with the thing that the right sound was removed from Stereo A/V Cable.
It can be used by SuperFamicom(SHVC-001) and SuperFamicom Jr.(SHVC-101) and NewFamicom(HVC-101), and Nintendo64(NUS-001/NUS-101), and NintendoGameCube(DOL-001/DOL-101).

SHVC-008 Stereo A/V Cable The Stereo A/V Cable is used to display a standard picture. It's the simplest connection cable. because, The cable can be connected to most television.
It can be used by SuperFamicom(SHVC-001) and SuperFamicom Jr.(SHVC-101) and NewFamicom(HVC-101), and Nintendo64(NUS-001/NUS-101), and NintendoGameCube(DOL-001/DOL-101).

SHVC-009 S-Video(S-VHS) Cable The S-Video(S-VHS) Cable is used to display a higher quality picture than A/V Cable. High picture could enjoy easily, because there are many supporting televisions.
It can be used by SuperFamicom(SHVC-001) and Nintendo64(NUS-001/NUS-101), and NintendoGameCube(DOL-001/DOL-101).

SHVC-013 Super Scope It's the infrared wireless light-gun which resemble bazooka. Six AA batteries supply power to Super Scope for approximately up to 130 hours of use. Super Scope compatible title is "Super Scope 6", "Space Bazooka(Battleclash)", "Yoshi's Road Hunting(Yoshi's Safari)" etc..

SHVC-014 Infra-red Receiver The receiver for the Super Scope's signals. It is inserted into the SuperFamicom Controller Socket-2. and, It was put near television.

SHVC-027 Super Game Boy It can enable the software of original Game Boy to play by the television. It sold since June 14, 1994 for ¥6800.
Super Game Boy compatible Mark This mark is printed by the package of Super Game Boy compatible software in Japan. (There is an exception.)
SHVC-028 Cassette for SATELLAVIEW It's Game Pak for "SATELLAVIEW". There is a slot for "Memory Pak(SHVC-031)" or "Rom Pak(SHVC-039)".
SHVC-029 SATELLAVIEW SATELLAVIEW Mark SATELLAVIEW is the service that used a satellite of St.GIGA. It's one of the peripheral which is necessary to take this service. It is put under SuperFamicom(SHVC-001), and it is connected in a 28PIN expansion connector.
SATELLAVIEW was able to enjoy a unique game, "sound link game" etc.. Them game cannot be enjoyed, because service was over on June 30, 2000. Therefore, it's rareness.
It sold since February, 1995 for ¥18000(tax-in). SATELLAVIEW program(SuperFamicom Hour) begins on April 23, 1995.
SHVC-030 AV Selector It's one of the peripheral which connects SATELLAVIEW to television and satellite broadcasting machinery.
SHVC-031 Memory Pak It's a storage device for data in SATELLAVIEW. Capacity has only a little 8Mbit.
SHVC-032 AC Adapter AC adapter for SATELLAVIEW set.
SHVC-033 Power supply Relay Box An adapter to divide SuperFamicom(SHVC-001) and SATELLAVIEW(SHVC-029) into with a power supply.

SHVC-039 ROM Pak It's form the same as Memory Pak(SHVC-031). but, It don't save data for SATELLAVIEW. Data to be usable in "Cassette for SATELLAVIEW" were sold in Rom Pak.
Rom Pak of "SD-Gundam GNEXT Unit&Map Collection" is this model number. but, There is Rom Pak which is not SHVC-039, and it is SHVC-031 the same as Memory Pak. A difference is unclear.
SHVC-040 Cassette for SATELLAVIEW It is a thing similar to SHVC-028. A difference is unclear. A thing of after 1996 seems to become this model number. but...
SHVC-041 SF memory cassette NintendoPower It's GamePak for NINTENDO POWER. NINTENDO POWER is game-rewrite service of SuperFamicom. The inside is flash memory of 32Mbit.
SHVC-042 Super Game Boy 2 A connector for GameLinkCable was added to super Game Boy. It sold since January 30, 1998 for ¥5800.

SUPER NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM "Super Famicom" was named "SUPER NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (SNES)" in other country. The Model Number of American SNES is SNS-001. and, European SNES is SNSP-001. I investigate these model numbers, made this list. The number part seems to be same according to this list. The model number of "FamilyComputer" and "NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (NES)" is not same. but, The model number of a game console after Nintendo64 (NUS, DOL etc.) is the same. SNS probably is "SuperNintendoSystem". SNSP perhaps is "SuperNintendoSystem-PAL"

The color of a Japanese version and a European version is the same, and red yellow blue green. The color of a American version is Violet(AB: Dark Violet, XY: Light Violet).
SHVC-006 SNS-006 SNSP-006 Game Pak (Cart.) The design of a Japanese version and a European version is basically the same. but, The design of an American version is greatly different. As for a Japanese version and a European version, the terminal seems to be different.

Super Scope The model number is different respectively though it seems that there is no difference in the world. Because the model number is marked to the body, I think that it is useless to change it.
