DOL-003 Controller A * B * X * Y * Z Buttons use digital input. The L* R Shoulder Buttons (trigger is the common term) use analog input. The left and right sticks are analog (Control Stick * C Stick respectively). The +Control Pad (directional pad) is the same exact size as the GBA d-pad. The fairly large A Button is designed so that the surrounding BXY Buttons are easily within reach. The L * R Buttons contain a digital override (digital click is the common term) which is activated when either button is fully depressed. The controller also has integrated a built-in Rumble Feature. The cord length is approximately 2m.
Pushing X * Y * START/PAUSE for 3 seconds or more allows for the Control Stick * LR Buttons * C Stick to return to their correct neutral positions (this basically functions as a controller disconnect/reconnect, or a reset). It is also possible to intentionally shift the analog controls to a new neutral position. A common soft reset for the system, software specific, is to press X * B * START/PAUSE for a short period, approximately 3 seconds.

DOL-009 D-Terminal Video Cable It is only for DOL-001. The D-Terminal Cable is used to display a higher quality picture than S-Video. It is connected to the "DIGITAL AV OUT" on the GCN(DOL-001). If connected to a D2 terminal or above (D2/D3/D4/D5) a clear progressive scan image is displayed (D2 displays a 480p signal, D1 does not) if the software is Progressive Scan compatible. Even connected to a D1 terminal the picture quality is still somewhat enhanced over that of S-Video. The Stereo AV Cable (SHVC-008) or the S-Video AV Cable (SHVC-009) is still needed for audio output. By the way, the D/A seems to be converted inside the connector.
  • Japan: September 14, 2001. ¥3500.
  • U.S.: none.
Y output full scale voltage: 1Vp-p, CB/CR full scale voltage: 0.7Vp-p, Effective scanning line: 480, I/P flag: changes according to output, Length and breadth ratio of picture: 4:3 fixed, Cable length: 2.5m
DOL-010 Component Video Cable It is only for DOL-001. The video-only cable used for a component connection to progressive scan mode TVs or other high end TV sets, provides a picture quality equal to that of the D-Terminal Cable, which also far surpasses the quality of S-Video. It is connected to the "DIGITAL AV OUT" on the GCN(DOL-001). It connects to [Y/Pb/Pr or Y/Cb/Cr] allowing for a clear progressive scan image if the software is Progressive Scan compatible. The Stereo AV Cable (SHVC-008) or the S-Video AV Cable (SHVC-009) is still needed for audio output. By the way, the D/A seems to be converted inside the connector.
  • Japan: September 14, 2001. ¥3500.
  • U.S.: November 18, 2001, $29.95.
Y output full scale voltage: 1Vp-p CB/CR full scale voltage: 0.7Vp-p, Cable length: 2.5m

DOL-013 RGB Cable The cable used to connect to the European SCART socket (EuroConnector). It connects to the "ANALOG AV OUT" on the GCN. It has a wide adapter with a silver multipoint plug that connects to an RGB-SCART input jack, though the lack of RGB compatibility will result in the standard composite video display. This cable is also required to enable the 60Hz mode (60Hz is equivalent to Progressive Scan mode, somewhat similar to 480p) on compatible TVs providing a clear progressive scan image if the software is 60Hz Mode compatible. DOL-013 (EUR) is not completely understood, with it unavailbable in Japan and North America. Sold in Europe 3 May 2002. UK: £19.95.
The RGB Cable separates the video output signal into Red * Green * Blue color signals (hence, RGB) which are displayed on an RGB-compatible screen. The NTSC (Japanese and US version) GCN does not output RGB signals through the "ANALOG AV OUT", therefore cannot use this cable. Cable length is approximately 2m.
