DOL-003 | Controller |
A * B * X * Y * Z Buttons use digital input.
The L* R Shoulder Buttons (trigger is the common term) use analog input.
The left and right sticks are analog (Control Stick * C Stick respectively).
The +Control Pad (directional pad) is the same exact size as the GBA d-pad.
The fairly large A Button is designed so that the surrounding BXY Buttons are easily within reach.
The L * R Buttons contain a digital override (digital click is the common term) which is activated when either button is fully depressed.
The controller also has integrated a built-in Rumble Feature. The cord length is approximately 2m. Pushing X * Y * START/PAUSE for 3 seconds or more allows for the Control Stick * LR Buttons * C Stick to return to their correct neutral positions (this basically functions as a controller disconnect/reconnect, or a reset). It is also possible to intentionally shift the analog controls to a new neutral position. A common soft reset for the system, software specific, is to press X * B * START/PAUSE for a short period, approximately 3 seconds.

Even connected to a D1 terminal the picture quality is still somewhat enhanced over that of S-Video.
The Stereo AV Cable (SHVC-008) or the S-Video AV Cable (SHVC-009) is still needed for audio output.

This cable is also required to enable the 60Hz mode (60Hz is equivalent to Progressive Scan mode, somewhat similar to 480p) on compatible TVs providing a clear progressive scan image if the software is 60Hz Mode compatible.
DOL-013 (EUR) is not completely understood, with it unavailbable in Japan and North America.
Sold in Europe 3 May 2002. UK: £19.95. The RGB Cable separates the video output signal into Red * Green * Blue color signals (hence, RGB) which are displayed on an RGB-compatible screen.
